Being in the travel industry is a great privilege for all who love to experience life directly, with bare hands and in the present moment. Live fully every experience, and the job only gets better. This time, we ventured into the region of Arenal to try some of the fantastic array of experiences the area treasures. One particular adventure that stood out to me was the Pure Trek Canyoning experience.

The excitement began long before I was picked up at the hotel that morning. You see, I am an adventurer! I love heights and adrenaline-filled activities. And well, canyoning is all that amidst a breathtaking landscape.
I wish I could find the words to describe the experience itself, but there are none.

 However, I will do my best to allow you, dear reader, to feel a glimpse of what I lived that morning.

As I was warmly welcomed by the guide and driver from the Pure Trek team at my hotel, my anticipation for the upcoming activity instantly grew.

We gathered to hop aboard modified trucks and embarked on a scenic journey towards the canyon. Adventure was in the air, filling our senses like an aroma.
Driving through the mountains with the imposing Arenal Volcano in the background, we passed by properties owned by the Arenal community, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the region.

We waved at smiling people, holding tight and breathing the call of the wild, as we got away from all screens and truly lived in the moment. The memory brings a smile to my face, because it was just the beginning.
Once we arrived, our attention turned to the guide, who provided precise instructions on rappelling and the correct way to jump.

The next two platforms were in close proximity to each other, and at this stage, the guides acknowledged our newfound expertise. The fourth platform was practically dry, allowing for a swift descent. Finally, we reached the fifth platform, boasting a height of approximately 50 meters. Although the waterfall's intensity was lower due to the dry season, the descent was nothing short of impressive, leaving me with a triumphant feeling of accomplishment.


My overall experience can be summarized as pure adrenaline in a safe environment, surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of five imposing canyons, each adorned with stunning waterfalls. And let's not forget the unexpected thrill of the Monkey Jump! It's an adventure that truly encompasses the essence of "Pura Vida" and must be experienced firsthand.
